Sharon & Sr. Barbara receiving missals
Armando & Margarita
In spite of some limitations, the old missal served us well for over four decades. At the end of Mass, I entrusted those missals to our sacristans: Sr. Barbara Geib, Sharon Roloff and Armando & Margarita Meza. They will safeguard these missals, which are saturated with our prayers and sacrifices. When they die, their loved ones will place the missals in their coffins as they symbolically take our offerings before the Lord.

with Michael & Marianne, after 9 a.m. Mass, November 4
Chalice from Michael's ordination in 1965, was stolen some thirty years ago. About a month ago, Fr. Armando Perez told Michael that someone had placed a box on the rectory steps. When he opened it, he found the chalice with a note expressing sorrow for robbery and other offenses. Since the note contained delicate information, Fr. Armando destroyed it and said a prayer for the man. Michael had the chalice regilded at a cost of $1,270. In 1965 the chalice cost $420. I said the blessing prayer and used the chalice for the morning Mass on November 4, Feast of St. Charles Borromeo.
